IFS (Internal Family Systems) - Exploring the different ‘parts’ of you - like the Inner Critic, People-Pleaser, or Sabatoger - to find internal harmony. We look at the ‘why’ behind the ‘what.’

Attachment Based - Understanding how early relationships created the ‘blueprint’ for current ones.

Somatic - techniques to work with the body to regulate the nervous system.

Compassion Focused - Designed for clients who struggle with self-criticism or shame. Learning how to develop the internal skills of self-compassion and emotional resilience.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) - We’ll look at where your brain may be getting stuck by identifying ‘cognitive distortions’ - unhelpful or inaccurate thinking patterns - and begin to challenge the beliefs that fuel anxiety and depression.

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) - Designed to help with intense emotions, which is centered around acceptance and change. The four pillars include distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Mindfulness Therapy - Developing a non-judgemental awareness of the present moment. Utilizing mindfulness based techniques to help you observe your thoughts and physical sensations without becoming overwhelmed by them.

Gottman - identifying patterns within relationships that can erode a connection over time. The four horseman approach to identifying criticisms, defensiveness, stone-walling, and contempt. Learning to replace with health communication and compassion.

How therapy works…

Responsibility

As we bring awareness to our emotions, we gain clarity and decide how we would like to respond to them. We learn and practice new skills. We also become responsible for our own thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors (ie ‘triggers’). We don’t have to agree with the difficult things that happen to us in our lives, however we learn the practice of acceptance and responsibility/choice. This will require practice, practice, and more practice.

Clarity

Self understanding is the foundation for recognizing our current life patterns. Together, we will explore the thoughts and feelings beneath the surface, looking at the limiting beliefs and judgments that may be holding us back. We begin to see how we are showing up in life and become more clear of our values and goals

Growth

We understand that growth is not linear and putting in the work is an intentional choice that we make every day. We realize that while it may seem easy in theory, it can be quite difficult in practice. Because of this, we learn how to have a more compassionate with ourselves as we stumble along the path of growth. We will see growth in some moments, and backtrack in other moments. This is okay as it is part of path to growth

Lots of Practice

We embrace practice, practice, and more practice. We are not trying to reach a destination, but building a ‘muscle’ in our brain that begins to change how we think, feel, and see the world. We learn that when we change our perspective, the world changes as well. We embrace this new way of showing up for ourselves and the world around us.

About Me

Life can be hard, messy, and complicated! You may be thinking that where you are in life isn’t how you imagined and deep down inside you know that you need a change. You may be tired, overwhelmed, frustrated, and still keep coming up short. I know that it’s not an easy place to be, and sometimes these low points can be where our greatest opportunities for change and growth can occur.

My goal is to provide you a safe space to share your story, process your fears, and provide you with practical tools. I will try to give you the honest perspective that you need to break old cycles. I’m not just here to listen - I’m here to help you see clearly, so you can finally move forward. I will try to give you a balance of constructive advice, honest feedback, empathy, humor, and warmth.

Once your insurance is verified, you will receive an email that let’s you know what your copay amount will be.

Upon completing the intake forms and insurance verification, we can arrange a time that works with your schedule and a link will be sent to you for our video call each week.

Your insurance will be billed at the end of each session.
